機器雑談 - DENON DN-F300 ソリッドステートプレーヤ

ある用途で、非圧縮音声帯域をある時間帯出力する用途で入手した。この手のプレーヤは製作している会社や品種も多く、値段と媒体に応じて考慮する必要がある。再生専用機種であれば価格を抑えられるので、今回は録音機能はついていないものを選定している。ここでは、このようなプレーヤのDACにどのような品種が採用されているか、出力のオペアンプがどのようなものか、中身をチェックしたので、ここに記す。

制御用のマイコンは裏面実装で、基板まで分解はしなかったため、確認できなかった。NXPのSAF1761BEは、 Hi-Speed Universal Serial Bus On-The-Go controllerで、USBメモリインタフェース用のフロントエンドである。このことから、マイコン自体にはUSB機能はついていないか高機能・高速ではないことが予想される。

電源は普通の三端子レギュレータで生成しており、ボリュームもいたって普通である。

DACはTIのPCM1716E、ヘッドホンアンプはNJM4556AD、ローパスフィルタ・バッファアンプとマイクアンプはNJM4580Dである。DAC自体は24bit／96kHzまで対応だが、プレーヤ自体は44.1kHzのみの再生となっている。SNR:106dB、D/R:106dB、THD+N:-96dBとなっているので、回路自体の制限でやや特性が悪いと思われる。プレーヤの仕様は下記のようになっている。

PCM1716Eは、執筆時の鈴商のネット通販で一個あたり300円程度になっており、プレーヤが3万円程度なので、おおざっぱに言って、 DACの占める価格は100分の1ということになる。高級DACで有名なPCM1794Aはデジットで見たところPCM1716Eの10倍の3800円程度で売られており、プレーヤ価格で10倍して二ー三十万円程度のプレーヤであれば高級DACが載っているという換算になる。もちろん、売れる台数にもよるので厳密ではないが。オペアンプはどれも数十円で、マイコンはおそらく数千円程度と思われ、液晶と合わせ、こちらの方が高いだろう。

オーディオ界隈で、自作がはやる理由がよくわかるし、値段相応という言葉が納得できる。ただ、10倍の違いが本当にあるかというと、それを測定・試聴する適切な環境が必要になってしまうので、これも身分相応というところか。高級なDACであれば、相応の電源回路も必要になるし、それなりに部品数が増えてしまう。
